School Regulations 
  • Assembly Procedure
    • Pupils who are Singapore Citizens must sing the National Anthem and take the Pledge with the right fist placed over the heart.
    • All pupils shall stand at attention with hands by their sides and sing the National Anthem with eyes focused on the State Flag.  
  • Daily Prayers
    • As St. Stephen's is a Catholic-mission school, daily prayers are said to call to mind the presence of God in our lives.
    • All non-Catholics will show respect during prayer by either praying in their own way or standing in silence or, if they wish, by joining in with the school's prayer. 
  • School languages
    • The school's first language is English and the Mother Tongue Languages are Chinese, Malay and Tamil.
    • Pupils are to speak only the school languages while on the school premises. 
  • Absence From School
    • The school strongly discourages pupils from taking leave before the school vacation period.
    • Absence from school, CCA or other school activity must be explained by a medical certificate or a letter from the parent/ guardian of the pupil concerned.  
  • General Appearance
    • Pupils must be clean shaven.
    • Hair must be kept neat and short. Hair length must not touch the ears and must be above the collar of the school shirt. Fringe, if any, must be above the eyebrows.
    • Pupils are not to sport hairstyles that reflect unacceptable fads.
    • Pupils are not allowed to spray or colour/highlight their hair. 
  • School Uniform
    • Pupils must wear the prescribed school uniform and modification to the uniform is not allowed.
    • Ankle socks are strictly prohibited.
    • Name tags are to be displayed prominently on the pupils' uniform on the left side above the pocket. Name tags on PE t-shirt are to be displayed above the school crest. 
    • As a mark of respect, pupils are to wear their school ties every morning during morning assembly. They can remove their school ties when morning assembly is over.
    • Pupils attending school holiday lessons or activities are expected to be in full school uniform unless instructed otherwise.
