The Lasallian Primary School In The East

Saint Stephen's School is one of the seven Christian Brothers Schools in Singapore, commonly known as the CBS or Lasallian schools, after our founder - St. John Baptist de La Salle, patron saint of teachers of youth.

Set up in 1957 as the Lasallian primary school in the eastern part of Singapore and as a primary feeder to St. Patrick's School, St. Stephen's School was named after the first Christian martyr Saint Stephen.

Today St. Stephen's school, together with all the Lasallian primary schools, are affiliated primary feeder schools to both Lasallian secondary schools St. Joseph's Institution and St. Patrick's School.

Signum Fidei is Latin for 'Sign of Faith' and refers to the 5-Pointed Star that is both insignia and motto of the Brothers of the Christian Schools (F.S.C.) founded by St. John Baptist de La Salle in 1684 to provide schooling for boys from poor families.

And from all the lands of earth we come
We share a dream, and sing with one voice
